Welcome to KB Collective — a collection of services and products bringing together the things I enjoy, the skills I've developed and the experience I've gained throughout my working life.
My career hasn't followed just one path and that's something I now see as one of my strengths.
I began my working life in accounting, gaining experience in both client and corporate environments. This gave me a strong foundation in organisation, accuracy, systems and working professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
I then moved into education, working within primary schools and developing my career as a Primary Teacher and SENCo. Working with children taught me to look at things from different perspectives, adapt my approach to meet individual needs and find creative ways to solve problems. These are skills that have stayed with me and continue to influence how I work today.
Why KB Collective?
After many years working in education, I wanted to create a more flexible way of working — one that would allow me to bring together the different skills, interests and experience I've developed over the years … so KB Collective was born.
Rather than choosing just one thing, I wanted to create a business that reflects the different things I enjoy and the ways I can help others.
That includes supporting children with their learning through personalised tutoring, caring for much-loved pets in their own homes, providing practical support to small businesses and creating handmade home fragrance and resin products.
Although these services are very different, there is something that connects them all: care, attention to detail and a genuine desire to do things well.
Whether I'm helping a child understand something that has been challenging for them, finding a better way for a business to organise its information, making sure a pet is happy and comfortable while their owner is away or creating something for someone's home, I take the same approach — listen, understand what is needed and find the best way to help.
A little more about how I work
I've always enjoyed figuring things out. Whether it's finding a practical solution to a problem, learning a new system or working out a better way of doing something, I enjoy the process of making things work. Over the years, I've developed a varied mix of skills and experience — all of which now come together in KB Collective.
I believe that good service is about more than simply completing a task. It's about listening, being reliable, communicating clearly and taking pride in what you do.
